Place the metal plate on the table, then put some plastic so that the key is in the hole. Press the drain plug and start sliding the mag onto the base plate. He will rise in the right place. I tried several times as mentioned in the video, but the insert plate slides into the magazine and is almost impossible to separate. I have parts floating all over the place. Then I did it my way. Quick, easy, no flying parts and no problems with the mounting plate.

Some will argue that the gas and gun carbon residue will cover the inside of the gun making the window clogged. Well back to competitive shooters, some of them clean their guns religiously after every game. Keep the gun clean and it won't be a problem.

Just look at how many PMAG windows there are in the world. Do they fail because there is a window? Does the window dirty or cause a disturbance in any way more than a regular PMAG does? Not that I know.
